It is hard to believe that it’s been a little over a month since the tragic fire burned over half of the block on Dubois Main Street. The silver lining is that no one was hurt. Fire fighters fought the blaze in temperatures nearing -30 and had difficulty keeping the water lines from freezing.
Today main street still looks like a construction zone. The buildings remain charred and haven’t been touched. There are plans to rebuild, but we have not heard yet what businesses will decide to reopen.
The out reach of love and support from our guests has been overwhelming. Thank you for the phone calls, emails expressing concern and asking how to help. On February 14 at 5:00 PM, there is a fundraiser being held at the Headwaters called, Give Your Heart to Dubois. Even if you cannot come, you can click on the link and easily donate. All donations go to help the victims of the fire. http://www.supportdubois.com/
