2014 National Dude Ranch Convention

The Bahia Resort in San Diego was host of our 2014 Dude Ranch Convention. The convention is held in a deferent destination every year, and I have to say, that it was such a nice break to head somewhere warm! The CM has been a part of the DRA since the 1920’s. The Dude Rancher’s Association is the governing body of the West’s Dude Ranch industry. You will find that not all Dude Ranches are members of the DRA. There are a number of strict by-laws which must be followed in order to become (and remain) a member ranch.

It is such a supportive association to be a part of. It is a wonderful time to ask questions to other fellow dude ranchers, and receive advice on everything from fresh marketing ideas to finding the best employees. Hunter and I always come back feeling refreshed and ready for the next guest season.
