Home on the Range
There is nothing like saddling up after a cold winter and moving cows! Thank goodness Kristen and I were able to pin down a babysitter at the last minute and jump in the saddle. It doesn’t happen that often with kids.
It was a beautiful crisp morning when we set out and even the wind seemed to calm when we crossed the ridge. The new mama’s and babies fully cooperated and seemed quite pleased to be headed to Torrey Creek. Our horses on the other hand were surprised that they had to go to work for a change. Nothing like being on sabbatical for almost six months! We were thankful to have a successful calving season with 100% healthy calves and mama’s.
